Treatment times include preparation of skin and vary from 30-90 minutes depending on size
of treatment area and how many areas are being treated.
Intense pulsed light (IPL), is an advanced treatment to improve the texture of your skin and reverse some of the visible damage caused by sun exposure — called photoageing, which is most noticeable on the face, neck, hands, or decolletage area. IPL can also treat pigmentation, vascular, acne and lines and wrinkles
IPL uses light energy to target a certain pigment in your skin.
When the skin is heated, unwanted cells are eliminated, resulting in targets such as pigmentation like age spots, freckles, fine lines and wrinkles, redness from rosacea, spider veins, scars, stretch marks and acne. The IPL device, unlike laser, sends out more than one wavelength of pulsating light so a range of skin conditions can be treated simultaneously. IPL improves skin tone and texture, improving its overall condition and appearance.
A comprehensive consultation is required and a test patch will be performed prior to your first treatment. Skin preparation may be required and this will be discussed at the time of consultation, as will the number of treatments required which will vary depending on your skin concern.
